  • Science at the Market “Backyard Ecology” booth – Set up display with local species of darters and other fish at the Urbana, IL farmers market.  (2014-2016)
  • Boneyard Creek Community Day – Set up display of fishes from Boneyard Creek and talked to community members about the species diversity of fishes in Boneyard Creek. (2014-2016)
  • “Girls Explore Biology” Summer Camp (Champaign Park District) –  Assisted in running activities at summer day camp for 4th-7th grade girls. (2015)
  • Yankee Ridge Junior Scientist Day – Presented display on local freshwater fish diversity to students at Yankee Ridge Elementary School, Urbana, IL. (2016)
  • Wildlife Society Club at UIUC – Led fish field trip where I taught undergraduate students how to collect and identify local stream fishes. (2016)
  • Midwest Ecology and Evolution Conference (MEEC) – Helped with running check in desk, moderated a talk session, and led a social outing for MEEC at UIUC. (2017)
  • Graduate Students in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (GEEB) at UIUC
    • Social Coordinator – Organized social events for graduate students in GEEB. (2014-2015)
    • EcoLunch Coordinator – Organized weekly seminar for graduate students to give practice talks to their peers. (2015-2016)
    • President –  Assisted in organizing annual graduate student run GEEB research symposium, where UIUC graduate students can present their research to their peers, faculty, and the public. (2016-2017)
  • Girls Go For It (GGFI) – Lead Coach at after school program that aims to help 5th grade girls build self confidence, develop leadership skills, and plan career goals. (2017 – Present)
